Las Vegas, 5 January 2017– Polaroid will be displaying their line of 4K UHD LED connected TVs at CES 2017 this week, including a new 75” model. There will also be a 75-inch model launching around the same time for $1999. I can't really speak to the quality of the panels, though. They will be priced at $499-999 when they launch in early 2017, which is pretty cheap. The Chromecast sets from Polaroid will come in 43, 49, 55, and 65-inch sizes. I guess that saves you from buying a Chromecast Ultra. Just look for the cast icon on your phone. The Chromecast functionality means you'll be able to cast content up to the native 4K resolution to these sets out of the box. They support HDMI 2.0, 120Hz refresh, and have support for the HVEC codec built in. ![]() ![]() They look like big screens with narrow bezels and tiny legs. There's not much to say about the TVs themselves. Still, Polaroid has something new at CES you might find interesting a new line of 4K TVs with Google Chromecast built-in. The company is no longer the entity it once was, living on now as a shell to license the brand and forge hardware partnerships. Believe it or not, Polaroid does still exist. ![]()
